Respiratory Therapist – Float Pool

Join our team as a flexible Respiratory Therapist in the Float Pool, where you will provide assessment, treatment, and care for patients with breathing disorders across multiple hospital departments and patient populations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders in various units, including critical care, emergency, pediatrics, and more.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, administer respiratory therapies, and operate ventilators and other respiratory equipment.
• Float to multiple locations or units as needed, adapting quickly to different patient needs and environments.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions; perform advanced respiratory care modalities and blood gas analysis.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory illness management and available support resources.
• Maintain equipment and follow all safety and infection control protocols.

Work Environment:

• The role is based in hospitals and may include shifts in critical care, NICU, ED, and other units, with varying schedules including nights and weekends.
• This position requires adaptability, critical thinking, and strong communication skills.
