Telemetry Technician
Join our team as a skilled Telemetry Technician, where you will play a vital role in monitoring cardiac rhythms and other vital signs of patients in a hospital or clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor patient vital signs, including cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure using telemetry equipment.
- Recognize and identify abnormal rhythms or changes in vital signs and promptly communicate findings to medical staff.
- Document observations and measurements with accuracy and attention to detail in patient records.
- Maintain and troubleshoot telemetry equipment, ensuring proper function and cleanliness.
- Apply and adjust electrocardiography (EKG) leads as needed and perform EKGs under nurse direction.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff regarding patient status.
Work Environment:
- The role is based in hospitals, clinics, or other medical facilities, often in a dedicated monitoring room.
- This position requires attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and strong communication skills.
